Article R1241-21 of the French Public Health Code

The Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine shall forward to the Minister for Research, within the time limit laid down in Article R. 1232-18, as necessary, any information revealing that the planned research is of such a nature as to call into question compliance with ethical principles, the need for the removal or the relevance of the research.

Le directeur général de l’Agence de la biomédecine transmet au ministre chargé de la recherche, dans le délai fixé à l’article R. 1232-18, en tant que de besoin, les informations révélant que les recherches envisagées sont de nature à mettre en cause le respect des principes éthiques, la nécessité du prélèvement ou la pertinence de la recherche.
