Article R1321-44 of the French Public Health Code

The person responsible for producing or distributing water must, in order to reduce or eliminate the risk, when it is attributable to the water production or distribution service, of non-compliance after supply, for the waters mentioned in 1° of article R. 1321-5, with the quality limits set by the order mentioned in article R. 1321-2, take all appropriate technical measures to modify the nature or property of the waters before they are supplied.

Article R1321-44

La personne responsable de la production ou de la distribution d’eau doit, afin de réduire ou d’éliminer le risque, lorsqu’il est imputable au service de production ou de distribution d’eau, de non-respect après la fourniture, pour les eaux mentionnées au 1° de l’article R. 1321-5, des limites de qualité fixées par l’arrêté mentionné à l’article R. 1321-2, prendre toute mesure technique appropriée pour modifier la nature ou la propriété des eaux avant qu’elles ne soient fournies.
