Article R1322-46 of the French Public Health Code

The establishments must be open, at least for the duration of the season, to persons who need to use the waters.

In communes classified as hydromineral resorts, the duration of the season is the same as that for which tourist tax is levied in the resort. However, at the beginning and end of the season, the Prefect may, by decree, authorise the partial opening of establishments. In other communes, the length of the season is set by prefectoral decree.

Les établissements doivent être ouverts, au moins pendant toute la durée de la saison, aux personnes qui ont à faire usage des eaux.

Dans les communes classées comme stations hydrominérales, la durée de la saison est la même que celle de la perception de la taxe de séjour dans la station. Toutefois, au commencement et à la fin de la saison, le préfet peut, par arrêté, autoriser l’ouverture partielle des établissements. Dans les autres communes, la durée de la saison est fixée par arrêté préfectoral.
