Article R1322-47 of the French Public Health Code

In all cases where the needs of the service so require, regulations laid down by the Prefect, after consulting the operators, determine the measures to be taken with regard to :

1° The hygiene of toilets, baths, showers, swimming pools and, in general, all premises used for water management;

2° The free use of water;

3° The exclusion of any preference in hours for baths and showers;

4° Rates, with the exception of reductions that may be granted to persons without means;

5° Special protection for the sick;

6° Measures of order and police to be observed by the public, either inside or in the vicinity.

Dans tous les cas où les besoins du service l’exigent, des règlements arrêtés par le préfet, après avis des exploitants, déterminent les mesures qui ont pour objet :

1° La salubrité des cabinets, bains, douches, piscines et, en général, de tous les locaux affectés à l’administration des eaux ;

2° Le libre usage des eaux ;

3° L’exclusion de toute préférence dans les heures, pour les bains et douches ;

4° Les tarifs, sauf les réductions qui peuvent être accordées aux personnes dénuées de ressources ;

5° La protection particulière due aux malades ;

6° Les mesures d’ordre et de police à observer par le public, soit à l’intérieur, soit aux abords.
