I.-The Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety) or bodies approved by the Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire (Nuclear Safety Authority) carry out the following in the establishments mentioned in Article D. 1333-32:
1° The radon activity measurements mentioned in article R. 1333-33 ;
2° Services for checking the effectiveness of corrective actions and work as provided for in article R. 1333-34;
3° Additional measurements to identify the source(s) and pathways of radon in the building, as provided for in article R. 1333-34.
II – The conditions for approval of the bodies mentioned in I are set by a decision of the Nuclear Safety Authority, approved by the ministers responsible for radiation protection, labour and construction. This decision defines :
1° The detailed list of information to be included with the application for approval ;
2° The procedures for issuing, checking and withdrawing approval;
3° The criteria for approving organisations;
4° The objectives, duration and content of the training programmes for persons carrying out the measurements;
5° The methods by which the organisations carry out the measurements.
If the Nuclear Safety Authority does not respond to this application for more than six months, the application is deemed to have been rejected.
III – For the analysis of passive integrated radon measurement devices, the bodies mentioned in I shall call upon the bodies mentioned in Article R. 1333-30.
IV -For each of the services mentioned in 1°, 2° and 3° of I, the organisations draw up an intervention report which they send to the owner or, where applicable, the operator within a maximum of two months following receipt of the analysis report mentioned in article R. 1333-30. This report must mention the reference level set in article R. 1333-28 and be accompanied by an information sheet attached to the order mentioned in III of article R. 1333-34 if this level is exceeded.
V.-The Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety) and the approved organisations forward the results of measurements taken in these establishments to the Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire (Nuclear Safety Authority). A decision by this Authority, approved by order of the Minister responsible for radiation protection, defines the nature of the data and the procedures for transmitting them.
