Article R1333-40 of the French Public Health Code

The natural materials and industrial residues concerned by the obligation of radiological characterisation mentioned in article R. 1333-39 are :

1° Natural materials :

a) Alum shales ;

b) Building materials or additives of natural magmatic origin, such as :

i) Granitoids, such as granite, syenite and orthogneiss ;

ii) Porphyry ;

iii) Tuff

iv) Pozzolan ;

v) Lava;

2° Materials containing residues from industries processing naturally radioactive materials, such as :

a) Fly ash ;

b) Phosphogypsum ;

c) Phosphoric slag ;

d) Residues from the primary production of metals (slag, slag, etc.).

Les matériaux naturels et résidus industriels concernés par l’obligation de caractérisation radiologique mentionnée à l’article R. 1333-39 sont :

1° Matériaux naturels :

a) Schistes d’alun ;

b) Matériaux de construction ou additifs d’origine magmatique naturelle, tels que :

i) Les granitoïdes, tels que les granits, la syénite et l’orthogneiss ;

ii) Les porphyres ;

iii) Le tuf ;

iv) La pouzzolane ;

v) La lave ;

2° Matériaux contenant des résidus d’industries traitant des matières naturellement radioactives, tels que :

a) Les cendres volantes ;

b) Le phosphogypse ;

c) Les scories phosphoriques ;

d) Les résidus de la production primaire des métaux (scories, laitiers …).
