Article R1333-56 of the French Public Health Code

A procedure using ionising radiation on an asymptomatic person to detect a disease at an early stage may be carried out either as part of organised screening for the disease, or after specific justification has been provided by the person carrying out the procedure in conjunction with the person requesting the procedure, taking into account, where appropriate, the recommendations of the Haute Autorité de Santé.

The patient is informed of the benefits and risks associated with the procedure.

Un acte utilisant les rayonnements ionisants chez une personne asymptomatique pour détecter de façon précoce une maladie peut être effectué soit dans le cadre d’un dépistage organisé de la maladie, soit après avoir fait l’objet d’une justification spécifique par le réalisateur de l’acte conjointement avec le demandeur de l’acte, en prenant en compte, le cas échéant, les recommandations de la Haute autorité de santé.

La personne est informée des avantages et des risques liés à cet acte.
