Article R1333-81 of the French Public Health Code

The provisions of this section apply to the actions referred to in 2° of Article L. 1333-1 and to the decisions referred to in Article L. 1333-3 to prevent or reduce a risk associated with a radiological emergency. These decisions and actions are aimed in particular at acting on :

1° The source of ionising radiation in order to stop or reduce the emission of radiation and the dispersion of radionuclides;

2° The environment in order to avoid or reduce contamination by radioactive substances;

3° People, in order to avoid or reduce exposure and to organise care for victims.

Les dispositions de la présente section s’appliquent aux actions mentionnées au 2° de l’article L. 1333-1 et aux décisions mentionnées à l’article L. 1333-3 pour prévenir ou réduire un risque lié à une situation d’urgence radiologique. Ces décisions et actions visent notamment à agir sur :

1° La source de rayonnements ionisants afin d’arrêter ou de réduire l’émission de rayonnements et la dispersion de radionucléides ;

2° L’environnement afin d’éviter ou de réduire la contamination par des substances radioactives ;

3° Les personnes afin d’éviter ou de réduire l’exposition et d’organiser la prise en charge des victimes.
