Article R1334-29-1 of the French Public Health Code

In municipalities with naturally asbestos-rich areas, exemptions may be granted from the obligation to measure dust levels and, where applicable, to carry out the work provided for in articles R. 1334-27 and R. 1334-28 , as well as from the obligation to measure dust levels following completion of the work, as provided for in article R. 1334-29-3. The list of municipalities concerned and the terms and conditions of this derogation are defined, where applicable, by order of the ministers responsible for the environment and health, issued after consulting the Haut Conseil de la santé publique.

Dans les communes présentant des zones naturellement amiantifères, il peut être dérogé aux obligations de mesures d’empoussièrement et, le cas échéant, de travaux prévus aux articles R. 1334-27 et R. 1334-28 ainsi qu’aux obligations de mesures d’empoussièrement à l’issue des travaux, prévues à l’article R. 1334-29-3. La liste des communes concernées et les modalités de cette dérogation sont définies, le cas échéant, par arrêté des ministres chargés de l’environnement et de la santé, pris après avis du Haut Conseil de la santé publique.
