In each region, for the implementation of the health policy guidelines defined in article L. 1411-1, including the promotion of health in all areas of life, particularly in the workplace, the reduction of health risks linked to environmental factors and the organisation of health care pathways, a regional centre for occupational and environmental pathologies contributes to the following tasks:
1° Preventing, diagnosing and treating illnesses suspected or proven to be linked to work or the environment, and supporting health professionals, wherever and however they practise, in carrying out these tasks;
2° Coordinating networks of occupational health professionals;
3° Teaching and research into occupational and environmental pathologies.
