Article R1426-1 of the French Public Health Code

Unless otherwise stipulated, the representative of the State in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin exercises the powers devolved by the present Code to the Prefect of the Department or the Prefect of the Region.

Sauf dispositions contraires, le représentant de l’Etat à Saint-Barthélemy et à Saint-Martin exerce les attributions dévolues par le présent code au préfet de département ou au préfet de région.
