Article R1461-15 of the French Public Health Code

When the needs of a particular processing operation or category of processing operations involving data from the national health data system exceed the scope of the authorisation granted to the State department, establishment or body on the basis of the provisions of III of article L. 1461-3, particularly in the case of matching data from the national health data system with other data, the processing operations shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of section 3 of chapter III of title II of law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978.

Lorsque les besoins d’un traitement particulier ou d’une catégorie de traitements de données du système national des données de santé excèdent l’étendue de l’autorisation dont bénéficie, sur le fondement des dispositions du III de l’article L. 1461-3, le service de l’Etat, l’établissement ou l’organisme , notamment en cas d’appariement de données issues du système national des données de santé avec d’autres données, les traitements sont mis en œuvre selon les dispositions prévues à la section 3 du chapitre III du titre II de la loi n° 78-17 du 6 janvier 1978.
