Only work to repair damage to the assets listed in article R. 1613-4 and urgent work to restore the flow capacity of watercourses, for which the project management is provided by the local authority or grouping concerned, may give rise to the award of a grant by the endowment.
The basis for the grant is equal to the amount, excluding taxes, of the work to repair the damage to the assets listed in article R. 1613-4, taking into account their condition and level of maintenance on the date of the event, and, where applicable, urgent work to restore the flow capacity of watercourses. In the case of repair work involving a change to the structure of the property, the amount of the grant will only take into account the cost of rebuilding the property to the same condition as it was on the date of the event, excluding any cost of extension or improvement. As an exception to this rule, when the total cost of the repair work including expenditure to extend or improve the property is less than the cost of rebuilding the property to the same condition as it existed on the date of the event, the basis for the grant is equal to the total amount of this work.
