Article R2-20 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The administrative registration number by which the beneficiary of the authorisations mentioned in I of Article 15-4 is identified in the procedural documents that it draws up or in which it is cited is defined by order of the minister to whom it reports.

When the disclosure of the identity of the official is likely to characterise the offence provided for in IV of article 15-4 or when the disclosure made under the conditions of III of the same article is likely to endanger his life or physical integrity or those of his close relations, a new administrative registration number shall be issued to the official on the decision of the hierarchical superior mentioned in the second paragraph of I of article 15-4.

Le numéro d’immatriculation administrative par lequel le bénéficiaire des autorisations mentionnées au I de l’article 15-4 s’identifie dans les actes de procédure qu’il établit ou dans lesquels il est cité est défini par arrêté du ministre dont il relève.


Lorsque la révélation de l’identité de l’agent est susceptible de caractériser l’infraction prévue au IV de l’article 15-4 ou lorsque la révélation intervenue dans les conditions du III du même article est susceptible de mettre en danger sa vie ou son intégrité physique ou celles de ses proches, un nouveau numéro d’immatriculation administrative est délivré à l’agent sur décision du responsable hiérarchique mentionné au deuxième alinéa du I de l’article 15-4.
