Article R211-22 of the French Code of civil enforcement procedures

When a seizure is made on a joint account, it is notified to each of the account holders.
If the names and addresses of the other account holders are unknown to the bailiff, the bailiff will ask the institution holding the account to inform them immediately of the seizure and the amount of the sums claimed.

Lorsque la saisie est pratiquée sur un compte joint, elle est dénoncée à chacun des titulaires du compte.
Si les noms et adresses des autres titulaires du compte sont inconnus de l’huissier de justice, ce dernier demande à l’établissement qui tient le compte de les informer immédiatement de la saisie et du montant des sommes réclamées.
