The maintenance creditor may instruct any bailiff in his place of residence to serve the request for direct payment on the third party referred to in article L. 213-1.
This notification must include the name and address of the debtor, the enforcement order, a breakdown of the sums due and a reminder of the provisions of article L. 213-2, failing which it is null and void.
Within the following eight days, the bailiff shall serve this notification by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
If the documents presented by the pension creditor do not enable notification to be made, the bailiff shall, within the same eight-day period, use the means enabling him to make such notification.
The third party debtor shall acknowledge receipt of the request for direct payment to the bailiff within eight days of notification in writing, stating whether or not he is able to comply.
When notifying the third party debtor of the request for direct payment, the bailiff shall simultaneously notify the debtor by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, which shall include, failing which the request for direct payment shall be null and void, a breakdown of the sums due in principal, interest and costs and a reminder of the provisions of Article R. 213-6.
