I.-The services of the professionals referred to in article L. 2135-1 are included in the assessment and early intervention pathway when they have signed a contract with a structure designated in accordance with the procedures laid down in the same article.
II – The healthcare professionals mentioned in article L. 162-5 and the medical auxiliaries mentioned in article L. 162-9 of the Social Security Code may take part in the pathway under the conditions and according to the terms of reimbursement set out in the agreements referred to in these articles.
III – For the healthcare professionals mentioned in articles L. 4331-1 and L. 4332-1 of this Code and psychologists, the pathway may include the following services:
1° For occupational therapists: an assessment to determine the needs of children in carrying out activities of daily living in relation to their sensory-motor, sensory and cognitive development and, if necessary, interventions to meet the needs thus identified and to act on the children’s environment;
2° For psychomotricians: a psychomotor assessment including, in particular, an examination of sensory-motor and neuromotor development, and, if necessary, interventions relating to the disturbances observed;
3° For psychologists: on the one hand, a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the child’s developmental skills and, if necessary, additional neuropsychological tests targeting specific areas of cognitive and socio-communicational development; on the other hand, for psychologists who have specific expertise defined by order of the ministers responsible for health and social security, early intervention in conjunction with all available functional assessments.
Interventions may be interrupted by a doctor from the designated structure after discussion with the liberal professionals, at the request of the family, in the event of early admission to a suitable structure or when the interventions are no longer necessary.
IV – The professionals mentioned in III are paid by the designated structure for a sequence of services, in the form of a lump sum. They may not request direct payment from patients.
V.-As an exception to article R. 314-122 of the Code de l’Action Sociale et des Familles, reimbursement of additional care is not subject to the prior agreement of the medical control department for the duration of the assessment and early intervention programme.
