Article R2142-46 of the French Public Health Code

I.-The establishments and organisations mentioned in 2° of Article R. 2142-42 shall appoint a local correspondent and his/her alternate.

As soon as they are appointed, the identity, status, experience and contact details of the local correspondent and his/her alternate are communicated to the Agence de la biomédecine by the head of the structure in which the correspondent and his/her alternate perform their duties.

The provisions of this decree also apply to the local correspondent’s alternate.

II – The local correspondent for the vigilance system relating to medically assisted procreation is a healthcare professional with experience in this field.

I.-Les établissements et organismes mentionnés au 2° de l’article R. 2142-42 désignent un correspondant local et son suppléant.

Dès leur désignation, l’identité, la qualité, l’expérience et les coordonnées du correspondant local et de son suppléant sont communiquées à l’Agence de la biomédecine par le responsable de la structure dans laquelle le correspondant et son suppléant exercent leurs fonctions.

Les dispositions du présent décret s’appliquent également au suppléant du correspondant local.

II.-Le correspondant local du dispositif de vigilance relatif à l’assistance médicale à la procréation est un professionnel de santé doté d’une expérience dans ce domaine.
