If the Director General of the Agency does not object within two months of the date on which the application is complete, the research protocol may begin.

The Agency’s Steering Committee is consulted for its opinion on research protocols aimed at differentiating embryonic stem cells into gametes, obtaining in vitro embryonic development models or inserting these cells into an animal embryo with the aim of transferring it to a female. The objection period is then extended to four months.

A défaut d’opposition du directeur général de l’agence dans un délai de deux mois à compter de la date à laquelle le dossier est complet, la réalisation du protocole de recherche peut débuter.

Le conseil d’orientation de l’agence est consulté pour avis sur les protocoles de recherche ayant pour objet la différenciation des cellules souches embryonnaires en gamètes, l’obtention de modèles de développement embryonnaire in vitro ou l’insertion de ces cellules dans un embryon animal dans le but de son transfert chez la femelle. Le délai d’opposition est alors porté à quatre mois.
