Article R222-20 of the French Code of civil enforcement procedures

Upon presentation of the judge’s authorisation or one of the titles mentioned in article L. 511-2, the seizure shall be carried out at any place and in the hands of any holder of the property.
If the seizure is carried out in premises used as a dwelling by a third party holding the property, special authorisation from the judge is required.

Sur présentation de l’autorisation du juge ou de l’un des titres mentionnés à l’article L. 511-2, il est procédé à la saisie-revendication en tout lieu et entre les mains de tout détenteur du bien.
Si la saisie est pratiquée dans un local servant à l’habitation d’un tiers détenteur du bien, une autorisation spéciale du juge est nécessaire.
