If the person remanded in custody is the subject of several detention warrants issued by liberty and custody judges from different judicial courts, only the judge from the court whose seat is closest to the establishment where the person is imprisoned shall have jurisdiction. If the person is detained for acts covered by article 706-16, the Paris liberty and custody judge has sole jurisdiction.
The liberty and custody judge shall rule after taking the opinion of the examining magistrates hearing the proceedings or the competent public prosecutors, as the case may be. He shall inform them of his decision.
