Article R312-10 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When a foreign national is authorised to stay in France under cover of a travel document bearing the required visa for a stay of more than three months and no more than one year, this visa may be revoked by the prefectoral authority in the following cases:
1° There is corroborating evidence leading to the presumption that the foreigner obtained his visa fraudulently;
2° There is corroborating evidence leading to the presumption that the foreigner entered France to establish himself there for purposes other than those which justified the issue of the visa;
3° The foreigner’s behaviour disturbs public order.

Lorsqu’un étranger est autorisé à séjourner en France sous couvert d’un titre de voyage revêtu du visa requis pour un séjour d’une durée supérieure à trois mois et au plus égale à un an, ce visa peut être abrogé par l’autorité préfectorale dans les cas suivants :
1° Il existe des indices concordants permettant de présumer que l’étranger a obtenu son visa frauduleusement ;
2° Il existe des indices concordants permettant de présumer que l’étranger est entré en France pour s’y établir à d’autres fins que celles qui ont justifié la délivrance du visa ;
3° Le comportement de l’étranger trouble l’ordre public.
