Article R321-36 of the French Intellectual Property Code

When a referral is made to the mediator by one of the parties, he shall inform the other parties, by letter delivered against signature or by any other means capable of establishing proof of the date of receipt of the referral, within eight days of receipt of the referral. The parties then have a period of thirty working days to send their observations to the mediator and to the claimant by any means capable of establishing proof of the date of receipt. This period may be extended by the mediator for no more than the same length of time.

Lorsque le médiateur est saisi par l’une des parties, il informe les autres parties, par lettre remise contre signature ou tout autre moyen propre à établir la preuve de la date de réception de la saisine, dans un délai de huit jours à compter de la réception de la saisine. Les parties disposent alors d’un délai de trente jours ouvrés pour adresser leurs observations au médiateur et au requérant par tout moyen propre à établir la preuve de la date de réception. Ce délai peut être prolongé au plus pour la même durée par le médiateur.
