Article R321-54 of the French Commercial code

Discussions before the Court of Appeal and its first president are public. However, the court and its first president may decide that the proceedings will not be public if the professional concerned expressly so requests or if their public nature would result in an infringement of a secret protected by law or of the privacy of private life; mention of this shall be made in the decision.

Les débats devant la cour d’appel et devant son premier président sont publics. Toutefois, la cour et son premier président peuvent décider que les débats ne seront pas publics si le professionnel concerné en fait expressément la demande ou s’il doit résulter de leur publicité une atteinte à un secret protégé par la loi ou à l’intimité de la vie privée ; mention en est faite dans la décision.
