Article R4127-100 of the French Public Health Code

A doctor practising as a control doctor may not at the same time be a prevention doctor or, except in an emergency, a doctor treating the same person.

This prohibition extends to members of the patient’s family living with him or her and, if the doctor practices within a community, to members of that community.

Un médecin exerçant la médecine de contrôle ne peut être à la fois médecin de prévention ou, sauf urgence, médecin traitant d’une même personne.

Cette interdiction s’étend aux membres de la famille du malade vivant avec lui et, si le médecin exerce au sein d’une collectivité, aux membres de celle-ci.
