Article R4127-105 of the French Public Health Code

No one may be both expert doctor and treating doctor for the same patient.

A doctor must not accept a mission of expertise in which his own interests are at stake, or those of one of his patients, one of his relatives, one of his friends or a group that usually calls upon his services.
