Article R4127-354 of the French Public Health Code

Midwives must maintain good fraternal relations with each other.

They owe each other moral assistance.

A midwife who has a disagreement with another midwife must seek conciliation, if necessary through the Departmental Council.

It is forbidden for a midwife to slander another midwife, to speak ill of her or to echo comments likely to harm her in the practice of her profession.

It is good professional practice to defend a midwife who has been unjustly attacked.

Les sages-femmes doivent entretenir entre elles des rapports de bonne confraternité.

Elles se doivent une assistance morale.

Une sage-femme qui a un dissentiment avec une autre sage-femme doit chercher la conciliation au besoin par l’intermédiaire du conseil départemental.

Il est interdit à une sage-femme d’en calomnier une autre, de médire d’elle ou de se faire l’écho de propos capables de lui nuire dans l’exercice de sa profession.

Il est de bonne confraternité de prendre la défense d’une sage-femme injustement attaquée.
