Article R4127-89 of the French Public Health Code

It is forbidden for a doctor to have his practice managed by a colleague.

However, the departmental council may authorise, for a period of three months, which may be renewable once, the running by a doctor of the practice of a colleague who has died or is prevented for serious health reasons from continuing his practice.

Il est interdit à un médecin de faire gérer son cabinet par un confrère.

Toutefois, le conseil départemental peut autoriser, pendant une période de trois mois, éventuellement renouvelable une fois, la tenue par un médecin du cabinet d’un confrère décédé ou empêché pour des raisons de santé sérieuses de poursuivre son activité.
