Article R4215-3 of the French Labour Code

The installations are designed and built in such a way that :

1° No dangerous active part is accessible to workers, except in premises and locations where there is a particular risk of electric shock, which are subject to special requirements laid down in Articles R. 4226-9, R. 4226-10 and R. 4226-11 ;

2° In the event of an insulation fault, no earth presents, with another earth or a conducting element, a potential difference which is dangerous for workers.

Les installations sont conçues et réalisées de telle façon que :

1° Aucune partie active dangereuse ne soit accessible aux travailleurs, sauf dans les locaux et emplacements à risques particuliers de choc électrique, qui font l’objet de prescriptions particulières fixées aux articles R. 4226-9, R. 4226-10 et R. 4226-11 ;

2° En cas de défaut d’isolement, aucune masse ne présente, avec une autre masse ou un élément conducteur, une différence de potentiel dangereuse pour les travailleurs.
