Article R4227-22 of the French Labour Code

Premises or areas in which substances or preparations classified as explosive, oxidising or extremely flammable are stored or handled, as well as materials in a physical state likely to give rise to risks of explosion or instantaneous ignition, contain no sources of ignition such as fireplaces, flames, equipment capable of producing sparks externally, or any surface whose temperature is likely to cause the aforementioned substances, preparations or materials to self-ignite.
These premises have appropriate permanent ventilation.

Les locaux ou les emplacements dans lesquels sont entreposées ou manipulées des substances ou préparations classées explosives, comburantes ou extrêmement inflammables, ainsi que des matières dans un état physique susceptible d’engendrer des risques d’explosion ou d’inflammation instantanée, ne contiennent aucune source d’ignition telle que foyer, flamme, appareil pouvant donner lieu à production extérieure d’étincelles ni aucune surface susceptible de provoquer par sa température une auto-inflammation des substances, préparations ou matières précitées.
Ces locaux disposent d’une ventilation permanente appropriée.
