Article R4235-74 of the French Public Health Code

The pharmacist-biologist may refuse to carry out a sample or analysis on grounds of the patient’s interest or the unlawful nature of the request.

If he refuses on other grounds, he must provide the patient with all the information necessary to enable him to have the sample taken or the test performed.

Le pharmacien biologiste peut refuser d’exécuter un prélèvement ou une analyse pour des motifs tirés de l’intérêt du patient ou du caractère illicite de la demande.

S’il refuse pour d’autres motifs, il doit fournir au patient tous renseignements utiles pour lui permettre de faire exécuter ce prélèvement ou cette analyse.
