Article R4252-3 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The Regional Council shall draw up, after consulting the Economic and Social Council, and in accordance with the provisions of 1° and 2° of article R. 4252-1, the list of groups and institutions called upon to propose candidates.

This list indicates the number of seats reserved for each group or institution. It is updated when the committee is renewed.

The members provided for in 1° and 2° of article R. 4252-1 are appointed on the basis of proposals made by the regional or, failing that, national bodies of the groups or institutions entitled to make proposals. Nominations shall include more names than seats to be filled.

The conditions for appointing members of the committee are set by the regional council.

Le conseil régional établit, après avis du conseil économique et social, et conformément aux dispositions des 1° et 2° de l’article R. 4252-1, la liste des groupes et institutions appelés à proposer des candidats.

Cette liste mentionne le nombre des sièges réservés à chaque groupe ou institution. Elle est mise à jour à l’occasion des renouvellements du comité.

Les membres prévus aux 1° et 2° de l’article R. 4252-1 sont nommés au vu des propositions faites par les organes régionaux ou à défaut nationaux des groupes ou institutions habilités à faire des propositions. Les propositions de candidatures comportent plus de noms que de sièges à pourvoir.

Les conditions de nomination des membres du comité sont fixées par le conseil régional.
