Article R4321-132 of the French Public Health Code

It is forbidden for a masseur-physiotherapist to manage his own practice.

However, the Conseil Départemental de l’Ordre may authorise, for a period of six months, which may be renewable once, the running by a masseur-physiotherapist of the practice of a colleague who has died or is permanently unable to practise. Exceptional waivers of this period may be granted by the departmental council.

Il est interdit au masseur-kinésithérapeute de mettre en gérance son cabinet.

Toutefois, le conseil départemental de l’ordre peut autoriser, pendant une période de six mois, éventuellement renouvelable une fois, la tenue par un masseur-kinésithérapeute du cabinet d’un confrère décédé ou en incapacité définitive totale définitive d’exercer. Des dérogations exceptionnelles de délai peuvent être accordées par le conseil départemental.
