I. – The regional or inter-regional council of the order of masseur-physiotherapists is composed as follows:
1° When the total number of masseur-physiotherapists on the most recently published roll is less than or equal to 2,000:
a) Three pairs of full members and three pairs of alternates representing self-employed masseur-physiotherapists;
b) One pair of full members and one pair of alternates representing employed masseur-physiotherapists;
2° Where the total number of masseur-physiotherapists entered on the most recently published register is greater than 2,000 and less than or equal to 5,000:
a) Five pairs of full members and five pairs of alternates representing self-employed masseur-physiotherapists;
b) One pair of full members and one pair of alternates representing employed masseur-physiotherapists;
3° When the total number of masseur-physiotherapists on the most recently published register exceeds 5,000:
a) Six pairs of full members and six pairs of alternates representing self-employed masseur-physiotherapists;
b) Two pairs of full members and two pairs of alternates representing employed masseur-physiotherapists.
II. – When the demographic development of masseur-physiotherapists within a region results, between two renewals, in an increase in the number of seats to be filled and when, at the end of the renewal, not all the seats have been filled, a regional council may, by way of derogation and until the next renewal, have a lower number of Ordinary Councillor seats than that provided for.
III. – The territorial areas of the regional councils correspond to the boundaries of the administrative regions. An order of the Minister for Health, issued after consultation with the Conseil national de l’ordre, may create inter-regional councils formed by grouping together several regional councils.
