Article R4322-53 of the French Public Health Code

A chiropodist who has agreed to provide care to a patient undertakes :

1° to provide the patient with informed care in accordance with the latest scientific knowledge, either personally or, where his conscience so requires, by calling in another chiropodist or another health professional ;

2° to act in all circumstances with propriety and kindness towards the patient and to show compassion towards him ;

3° to agree to an attempt at conciliation at the request of the President of the Regional or Inter-Regional Council of the Order in the event of difficulties with a patient.

Le pédicure-podologue qui a accepté de donner des soins à un patient s’oblige :

1° A lui prodiguer des soins éclairés et conformes aux données acquises de la science soit personnellement, soit, lorsque sa conscience le lui commande, en faisant appel à un autre pédicure-podologue ou à un autre professionnel de santé ;

2° A agir en toute circonstance avec correction et aménité envers le patient et à se montrer compatissant envers lui ;

3° A se prêter à une tentative de conciliation qui lui serait demandée par le président du conseil régional ou interrégional de l’ordre en cas de difficultés avec un patient.
