Rope access and positioning techniques may not be used to create a workstation.
However, where it is technically impossible to use equipment for the collective protection of workers, or where the risk assessment establishes that the installation or use of such equipment is likely to expose workers to a greater risk than that resulting from the use of rope access or positioning techniques, the latter may be used for temporary work at a height. After assessing the risk, taking into account the duration of certain work and the need to carry it out under ergonomically suitable conditions, a seat fitted with appropriate accessories will be provided.
