As part of the procedures and activities provided for in articles R. 4351-2-1 to R. 4351-2-3 which they perform, medical electroradiology manipulators are authorised to carry out the following activities, under the responsibility of the doctor mentioned in article R. 4351-1:
1° Welcoming and informing the patient about the course of the examination or treatment, including the pre-therapy phase;
2° Gathering from the patient and analysing the information and data necessary for the safety and performance of the examination or treatment;
3° Identification of the patient’s needs in relation to the techniques used and according to the clinical situation;
4° Installation and positioning of the patient, in accordance with the requirements of the technique used, taking into account the patient’s clinical condition;
5° Clinical monitoring of the patient and continuity of care during examinations and treatments;
6° Setting and activating the equipment;
7° Collection, qualitative analysis, processing and transfer of the signal or image, excluding the acts mentioned in b of 1° of Article R. 4351-2-2;
8° Preparation of puncture, catheterisation, injection, exploration and medico-surgical equipment;
9° Reconstitution and placing in a suitable form for administration of the medicines necessary for carrying out the examination or treatment, except in the situations provided for in Article R. 4351-2-4;
10° Taking or collecting venous and capillary blood samples, as well as samples of excretions or secretions;
11° Carrying out, in an emergency, the necessary protective measures until the doctor intervenes;
12° Assessment of pain and implementation of pain prevention, relief and treatment techniques;
13° Written and oral transmission to healthcare professionals of all information relating to the course of examinations and treatments;
14° Traceability of the examination or treatment;
15° Implementation of rules relating to the management of radiopharmaceutical stocks and waste likely to contain radionuclides;
16° Checking the proper operation and routine maintenance of the equipment entrusted to it;
17° Implementation of hygiene, safety and vigilance rules in accordance with good practice;
18° Implementation of radiation protection rules for patients;
19° Contributing to the development of quality assurance programmes and the application of quality control protocols.
