Article R4351-29 of the French Public Health Code

The persons mentioned in Article L. 4351-7 may participate in the performance, by a private radiologist, of the following examinations only:

1° Mammographies ;

An order by the Minister for Health sets out the content and procedures for training these persons for the implementation of the organised breast cancer screening programme.

2° In adults :

a) X-rays of the skeleton of the limbs, spine, pelvis and skull ;

b) Unprepared X-rays of the chest and abdomen;

3° In children over five years of age:

a) X-rays of the skull and cervical spine, except in cases of traumatic injury;

b) Except in trauma emergencies, unprepared chest and abdominal X-rays and skeletal X-rays of the upper limbs and lower limbs, from the knee to the foot.

In particular, any participation in the performance of imaging procedures involving the use of diagnostic and interventional techniques such as scanography, vascular exploration, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging or ultrasound is excluded.

Les personnes mentionnées à l’article L. 4351-7 peuvent participer à l’exécution, par un radiologue libéral, des seuls examens suivants :

1° Mammographies ;

Un arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé fixe le contenu et les modalités de la formation de ces personnes pour la mise en œuvre du programme de dépistage organisé du cancer du sein.

2° Chez l’adulte :

a) Radiographies du squelette des membres, du rachis, du bassin et du crâne ;

b) Radiographies du thorax et de l’abdomen sans préparation ;

3° Chez l’enfant de plus de cinq ans :

a) Radiographies du crâne et du rachis cervical, hors cas de lésion traumatique ;

b) Hors cas d’urgence traumatologique, radiographies du thorax et de l’abdomen sans préparation et radiographies du squelette des membres supérieurs et des membres inférieurs, du genou au pied.

Est notamment exclue toute participation à l’exécution d’actes d’imagerie faisant appel aux techniques diagnostiques et interventionnelles de scanographie, d’exploration vasculaire, de médecine nucléaire, d’imagerie par résonance magnétique ou d’échographie.
