I.-The employer shall implement measures to reduce the risks associated with exposure to ionising radiation when the results of the risk assessment show that the exposure of workers is likely to reach or exceed one of the levels mentioned in I of Article R. 4451-15.
II-The measures mentioned in I are based in particular on :
° The implementation of other work processes that do not expose or result in less exposure;
° The choice of appropriate work equipment that, given the work to be carried out, emits less intense levels of ionising radiation;
° The implementation of technical means to reduce the emission of ionising radiation from work equipment;
° Modifying the design and layout of workplaces and workstations to reduce exposure to ionising radiation;
° Improving the airtightness of buildings with regard to radon entry points or changing the air in premises;
° Choosing a work organisation that reduces the duration and intensity of exposure, in particular by controlling access to areas defined under articles R. 4451-25 and R. 4451-29;
° The maintenance of work equipment, including protection and alarm devices, carried out at a frequency recommended by the manufacturer or justified in terms of the activity;
° The results of the checks on the effectiveness of the means of prevention provided for in section 6 of this chapter.
