I.-In exceptional circumstances, when collective and individual protection measures are unable to guarantee that workers’ exposure remains below the exposure limit values provided for in Article R. 4451-6, the employer shall request authorisation to exceed them from the labour inspection officer referred to in Article L. 8112-1.
II.-The employer shall demonstrate that there is no possible alternative to exceeding the values referred to in I, given the exceptional nature of the work to be carried out.
The employer shall seek the opinion of the occupational physician and that of the social and economic committee.
