The partial pressure of oxygen in a breathed mixture must not :
I. – Be less than 160 hectopascals and, in a hyperbaric work chamber, be greater than 25 per cent of the absolute pressure.
II – Exceed the following values:
1° During periods of physical activity, outside the compression and decompression phases and for continuous periods of exposure not exceeding 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 hours respectively: 1,600 hectopascals, 1,400 hectopascals, 1,200 hectopascals, 1,000 hectopascals and 900 hectopascals ;
2° During the immersion decompression phase: 1,600 hectopascals;
3° During the dry decompression phase, 2,200 hectopascals for decompression lasting less than 24 hours and 800 hectopascals for decompression lasting more than 24 hours;
4° During compression or rest phases at saturation, between 300 hectopascals and 450 hectopascals;
5° During emergency recompression after a decompression accident, 2,800 hectopascals, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.
