I. – Only workers holding a certificate of aptitude for hyperbaric conditions issued following training provided in accordance with the conditions laid down in this section may work in hyperbaric environments.
II. – Only workers holding a certificate issued for this purpose following training provided under the conditions laid down in this section may perform the duties of hyperbaric prevention advisor referred to in Article R. 4461-4.
III. – The period of validity of these certificates and the terms and conditions for their renewal are set by the orders provided for in article R. 4461-30.
IV. – The underwater work referred to in 1° of III of Article R. 4461-28 may only be performed by workers holding:
1° Either the professional qualification of public works diver, issued by the Minister for Employment pursuant to Article R. 338-1 of the Education Code;
2° Or the certificate attesting to the block of skills making up this professional qualification which corresponds to the activity carried out;
3° Or a professional certification registered in the National Register of Professional Certifications corresponding to the activity carried out when it is not carried out in an underwater environment.
An order by the Minister for Employment determines the duration and procedures for training leading to the professional qualification of public works diver and the blocks of skills making up this qualification.
V. – The obligation to hold the certificates mentioned in I and II and the professional title, the certificate attesting to a block of skills or the professional certification mentioned in IV does not apply to workers who can provide proof of training acquired predominantly in the European Union, or of a diploma, certificate or other evidence of formal qualifications issued in a Member State of the European Union, or issued by an authority of a third country, provided that a certificate is provided from the competent authority of the Member State which recognised the diploma, certificate or other evidence of formal qualifications attesting to the training and qualification of this person by an authority or to training acquired which fulfils the same educational objectives as those set out in I of R. 4461-30.
