Article R4511-3 of the French Labour Code

The provisions of this Title do not apply to building or civil engineering sites subject to the coordination obligation laid down in Article L. 4532-2, or to other enclosed and independent sites.
However, the head of the user undertaking shall cooperate with the health and safety coordinator, under the conditions laid down in Article R. 4532-14.
Where these sites are subject to the obligation to draw up a general health and safety coordination plan as provided for in article L. 4532-8, the head of the user company will receive a copy of this plan and will participate, at his request, in the work of the inter-company safety, health and working conditions committee, if one exists.

Les dispositions du présent titre ne s’appliquent pas aux chantiers de bâtiment ou de génie civil soumis à l’obligation de coordination prévue à l’article L. 4532-2, ni aux autres chantiers clos et indépendants.
Toutefois, le chef de l’entreprise utilisatrice coopère avec le coordonnateur en matière de sécurité et de protection de la santé, dans les conditions fixées à l’article R. 4532-14.
Lorsque ces chantiers sont soumis à l’obligation d’établir un plan général de coordination en matière de sécurité et de protection de la santé prévu à l’article L. 4532-8, le chef de l’entreprise utilisatrice reçoit copie de ce plan et participe, sur sa demande, aux travaux du collège interentreprises de sécurité, de santé et des conditions de travail, s’il en existe un.
