When the work to be carried out is in the vicinity of an electrical line or installation other than an underground pipeline and the operator, for a reason which he considers imperative, considers that he cannot de-energise this line or installation, the instructions provided for in article R. 4534-125 specify the measures to be taken to keep the line or installation out of the reach of workers.
If the electrical line or installation is in the low-voltage A range (BTA), it must be taken out of reach:
1° Either by installing effective, firmly fixed obstacles;
2° Or by covering and insulating the bare live conductors or other parts, as well as the neutral conductor.
