Article R4535-9 of the French Labour Code

When they are exposed or likely to be exposed to hazardous chemical agents which are carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction, self-employed workers and employers who work directly on a building or civil engineering site are subject to the following provisions relating to the risks of exposure to carcinogenic, mutagenic and toxic to reproduction agents:
1° Scope and definitions provided for in articles R. 4412-59 to R. 4412-60 ;
2° Risk assessment provided for in articles R. 4412-61 to R. 4412-65 with the exception of the first paragraph of article R. 4412-64 ;
3° Preventive measures and means provided for in articles R. 4412-66 to R. 4412-75 with the exception of the second paragraph of article R. 4412-70 ;
4° Measures to be taken in the event of accidents or incidents provided for in articles R. 4412-83 to R. 4412-85.
They are also subject to the following provisions relating to the risks of exposure to hazardous chemical agents:
1° Scope and definitions provided for in articles R. 4412-1 to R. 4412-4 ;
2° Measures and steps to be taken against the dangers arising from the chemical and physico-chemical properties of chemical agents provided for in articles R. 4412-7 and R. 4412-18 ;
3° Checks on collective protection equipment and installations provided for in articles R. 4412-23 to R. 4412-26 ;
4° Measures in the event of an accident or incident provided for in articles R. 4412-33 to R. 4412-37 ;
5° Medical surveillance provided for in articles R. 4412-44 to R. 4412-57.

Lorsqu’ils sont exposés ou susceptibles d’être exposés à des agents chimiques dangereux cancérogènes, mutagènes ou toxiques pour la reproduction, les travailleurs indépendants ainsi que les employeurs qui exercent directement une activité sur un chantier de bâtiment et de génie civil sont soumis aux dispositions relatives aux risques d’exposition aux agents cancérogènes, mutagènes et toxiques pour la reproduction suivantes :
1° Champ d’application et définitions prévus aux articles R. 4412-59 à R. 4412-60 ;
2° Evaluation des risques prévue aux articles R. 4412-61 à R. 4412-65 à l’exception du premier alinéa de l’article R. 4412-64 ;
3° Mesures et moyens de prévention prévus aux articles R. 4412-66 à R. 4412-75 à l’exception du 2° de l’article R. 4412-70 ;
4° Mesures à prendre en cas d’accidents ou d’incidents prévues aux articles R. 4412-83 à R. 4412-85.
Ils sont également soumis aux dispositions relatives aux risques d’exposition aux agents chimiques dangereux suivantes :
1° Champ d’application et définitions prévus aux articles R. 4412-1 à R. 4412-4 ;
2° Mesures et dispositions à prendre contre les dangers découlant des propriétés chimiques et physico-chimiques des agents chimiques prévues aux articles R. 4412-7 et R. 4412-18 ;
3° Vérifications des installations et appareils de protection collective prévues aux articles R. 4412-23 à R. 4412-26 ;
4° Mesures en cas d’accident ou d’incident prévues aux articles R. 4412-33 à R. 4412-37 ;
5° Surveillance médicale prévue aux articles R. 4412-44 à R. 4412-57.
