Article R4542-17 of the French Labour Code

A worker may not be assigned to work on a visual display screen unless he has undergone an appropriate eye and vision examination as part of the information and prevention visits.

If the result of this examination so requires, they will benefit from an additional ophthalmological examination prescribed by the occupational physician under the conditions laid down in articles R. 4624-35 to R. 4624-38.

Un travailleur ne peut être affecté à des travaux sur écran de visualisation que s’il a fait l’objet dans le cadre des visites d’information et de prévention d’un examen et approprié des yeux et de la vue.

Si le résultat de cet examen le nécessite, ils bénéficient d’un examen ophtalmologique complémentaire prescrit par le médecin du travail dans les conditions prévues aux articles R. 4624-35 à R. 4624-38.
