Article R4542-7 of the French Labour Code

The display screen keyboard has the following characteristics:
1° It can be tilted and is separate from the screen to enable the worker to adopt a comfortable position which does not cause fatigue of the forearms or hands;
2° There is sufficient space in front of the keyboard to provide support for the user’s hands and forearms;
3° The keyboard has a matt surface to avoid reflections;
4° The layout of the keyboard and the characteristics of the keys tend to make it easier to use;
5° The symbols on the keys are sufficiently contrasting and legible from the normal working position.

Le clavier de l’écran de visualisation obéit aux caractéristiques suivantes :
1° Il est inclinable et dissocié de l’écran pour permettre au travailleur d’avoir une position confortable qui ne provoque pas de fatigue des avant-bras ou des mains ;
2° L’espace devant le clavier est suffisant pour permettre un appui pour les mains et les avant-bras de l’utilisateur ;
3° Le clavier a une surface mate pour éviter les reflets ;
4° La disposition du clavier et les caractéristiques des touches tendent à faciliter son utilisation ;
5° Les symboles des touches sont suffisamment contrastés et lisibles à partir de la position de travail normale.
