Article R4543-23 of the French Labour Code

The training includes a period of practical exercises carried out under the supervision of a tutor appointed by the employer. This tutor has the necessary qualifications and is familiar, in particular, with the safety principles applicable to the interventions or work.

The length of the tutoring period is defined by the employer on the basis of the worker’s qualifications and experience. It enables the worker to acquire the know-how corresponding to the theoretical content of the training.

La formation comporte une période d’exercices pratiques effectuée sous le contrôle d’un tuteur désigné par l’employeur. Ce tuteur dispose de la qualification nécessaire et connaît notamment les principes de sécurité applicables aux interventions ou travaux.


La durée de la période de tutorat est définie par l’employeur en fonction de la qualification et de l’expérience du travailleur. Elle permet à celui-ci d’acquérir les savoir-faire correspondant au contenu théorique de la formation.
