Article R512-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The administrative authority competent to ask the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons to terminate the benefit of subsidiary protection, pursuant to article L. 512-3, is the minister responsible for asylum or the prefect of the department in which the foreign national habitually resides or, where the foreign national resides in Paris, the police prefect.

Article R512-1

L’autorité administrative compétente pour demander à l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides de mettre fin au bénéfice de la protection subsidiaire, en application de l’article L. 512-3, est le ministre chargé de l’asile ou le préfet du département où réside habituellement l’étranger ou, lorsque ce dernier réside à Paris, le préfet de police.
