The Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé will notify the applicant of his decision within a maximum of one hundred and twenty days from the date of receipt of the complete application. If no decision has been taken by the end of this period, the application will be rejected.
If the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé considers that additional information is required to enable him to reach a decision on the application, he may suspend consideration of the application until the missing information has been received, up to a maximum period of six months. In this case, it must notify the applicant of the reasons for this interruption and specify the deadline by which this information must be sent to it.
When the advanced therapy medicinal product is composed in whole or in part of genetically modified organisms, the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé obtains the agreement of the Minister for the Environment and the opinion of the Agence nationale de sécurité sanitaire, de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail under the conditions provided for in the fourth and fifth paragraphs of Article R. 533-29 of the Environment Code.
